UFC on FX 5: Pezão faces Browne in the main fight tonight

Friday is not a traditional UFC fight day, but tonight promises to bring excitement to the city of Minneapolis, in the United States. UFC on FX 5 features the Paraíba native as its main attraction Antonio Pezão looking for his first Ultimate victory against Browne.

“Being part of the UFC, the best event in the world, is a dream come true, not just for me, but for my entire family,” he said. “It will just be the beginning of a great journey”, added Pezão, in an interview with the official UFC channel on YouTube.

The UFC on FX 5 fight program features three more Brazilians in action. On the main card, flyweight   Jussier formiga debut at the event in front of John Dodson, the president of the organization, Dana White, has already stated that in case of victory the Brazilian will already compete for the category belt against Demetrious Johnson.

In the preliminary card of the event, two Brazilians will try to recover from defeats. In the featherweight division, Diego Nunes faces the Polish Bart Palaszewski. Already Carlos Prater will face the American Marcus LeVesseur.

Thiago tavares would also participate in the event, but his fight against Dennis Hallman was canceled shortly after the weigh-in, as the American was 7 pounds (about 4 kg.) above the category limit.
