Pro-wrestling is about to get a boost in weight. It is not uncommon for MMA athletes to migrate to WWE and from WWE to MMA. There are several examples and the most emblematic cases were those of Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and Ronda Rousey. Recently, Cain Velazquez ventured out, had no luck and his friend, Daniel Cormier, you should do the same.
To the North American website, Sports Illustrated the former UFC light heavyweight (93kg) and heavyweight (120,2kg) champion, who retired after being defeated by Stipe Miocic, in a trilogy made in UFC 252, in August, informed that he is negotiating with WWE, revealed that it has always been a dream to work in the organization and that his position will not be that of a fighter but that of a commentator.
“We have been talking and negotiations are going well. WWE is an organization that I have watched and loved my entire life. You can put me as a commentator, analyst. Give me six months. I would love that and I'm not pretending. WWE is something I've loved my entire life,” said 'DC'.
please note that Daniel Cormier He works, precisely, as a commentator for the UFC and has no plans to give that up. In turn, Paul Levesque, better known as 'Triple H' and current WWE executive, also publicly stated that he would love to work with Cormier, but, as he has a good relationship with Dana White, he will wait.
Cormier's role in WWE will initially be as a commentator, as reported, but a narrative could be created for the veteran to return to the ring and face Brock Lesnar, who challenged and pushed 'DC', when he was still UFC heavyweight champion (120,2kg).
