Patrício Pitbull congratulates Archuleta on his achievement and challenges him: 'I want that belt'

Brazilian, Bellator featherweight and lightweight champion, beat the new bantamweight number one and seeks to expand his achievements in MMA

The 246th edition of Bellator, held on Saturday (12), in Connecticut, crowned Juan Archuleta as bantamweight champion (61,2kg) and attracted the attention of several fighters. One of them was Patrick Pitbull, one of the biggest names in the organization’s history.

The Brazilian, featherweight (65,8kg) and lightweight (70,3kg) champion, congratulated 'The Spaniard' on the achievement and the high level of the fight between him and Patchy mix, praised the quality of the division and showed ambition by aiming for a third different belt.

“Congratulations to Archuleta for the victory and Mix for the great fight. Bellator has the best bantamweights and I'm getting ready to win that belt. Leandro Higo and Matheus Mattos have a bright future in the division”, Patrício posted on his Twitter.

It is worth remembering that the last fight of Patrick Pitbull It was precisely the victory over Juan Archuleta, in September 2019, when he was still playing at featherweight. The Brazilian's desire to be champion of three different classes and, consequently, make history in MMA is also old. First, the 33-year-old Brazilian will put his featherweight title on the line, against Pedro Carvalho, in the quarterfinals of the division's Grand Prix.
