After almost two years without performing, Alan Nuguette is back. Back this Saturday (12), at UFC Las Vegas 10, in the United States, the Amazonian will be responsible for representing Brazil and will exchange forces against the experienced Bobby Green. In an exclusive interview with SUPER FIGHTS, the fighter spoke about his expectations for the confrontation and the joy of taking the green and yellow to the Octagon.

An Ultimate employee since 2013, Nuguette is ready for his 7th appearance with the company's gloves. The athlete, who comes from defeat to scott holtzmann, wants to prove that he is in the best shape and beat a rival who was selected at the last minute.
Last minute opponent
Confirmed for this weekend's card, Green was not, initially, the opponent scheduled to face Alan. The North American took on the challenge of fighting at the last minute and replaced Mexican Rodrigo 'Kazula' Vargas, who left the event due to injury. The new opponent, however, does not scare the Amazonian, who said he was ready for the veteran.
“We trust in my game, in my work. This change of opponent didn't change the fit much. He's a boxer, who kicks a little, puts him down, but we're prepared to defend.
Fight against Green
With little time to prepare for his new rival, Nuguette showed that he knows well the opponent he will face this Saturday. The Brazilian then explained the points where he needs to be careful to avoid being surprised.
“He’s a skilled guy, who can’t give him many opportunities to change. You can't leave him comfortable in the fight. I'm going to bother you all the time, like 'bicho-de-pé-pé' (laughs)”, joked the Amazonian.
Only Brazilian representative
On a card with 12 confirmed fights, Nuguette will be the only representative from Brazil. Asked if he felt any pressure for being the athlete responsible for taking the country's colors to the Octagon, Alan minimized the tension and said he was flattered by the opportunity.
“I'm very happy. Millions of inhabitants and just one here, representing an entire nation. It’s a great responsibility and I’m happy to have received this gift”, said the fighter.
Ideal ending
Away from the clashes for so long, Nuguette doesn't want to know about predictions for the duel. For the athlete, the important thing is to have his arm raised at the end of the dispute against the North American.
“The important thing is victory. It doesn't matter how. Knockout, submission or points. We have to win”, he concluded.
At 37 years old, Nuguette will reach the milestone of 18 fights as a professional in MMA this weekend. To date, the Amazonian has 15 wins and just two defeats in the sport.
Bobby Green, 34, comes for his third appearance in 2020. The North American currently has 26 positive results, 10 setbacks and a draw in 37 commitments.
