Anyone who thinks that Dana White only appears at traditional UFC events on Saturdays is mistaken. With the fourth season of Contender Series ongoing, Tuesday also became an important day. In the press conference after the program, as could not be otherwise, the top hat commented about Brock Lesnar, who is out of contract with WWE, and, like Scott Coker, president of Bellator, showed interest in repatriating him.

“If they (Lesnar and Jon Jones) want to face each other, I'm sure the fans would like to watch. This would be a good introduction for Jones at heavyweight. If they come across it, I'll do it. I didn't talk to Lesnar. We haven't talked for a year. He is 43 years old and has a lot of money. I don't know what his plans are, how his health is. If he calls me and shows interest in fighting, obviously, I'll consider doing that fight. He could only fight in 2021”, revealed Dana.

Another topic discussed at the conference was the future of heavyweight (120kg). If previously the UFC president had already nailed Francis Ngannou as a challenger for the belt Stipe MiocicThis time, there was no point in Jones trying to jump the queue. The Cameroonian will be next in line.

“Jones cannot overtake Ngannou. He deserves to fight for the belt, he waited two years and worked for it. He deserves a new chance,” he concluded.

It is worth remembering that the former heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar, is currently 43 years old and, in the past, suffered from diverticulitis and USADA. His last fight in MMA took place in 2016, against Mark Hunt, and even fell into doping. In turn, Francis Ngannou, who already fought for the category belt against the same Stipe Miocic, in 2018, has four consecutive victories over big names in MMA, all of them by knockout in the first round, which earned him three performance bonuses.
