Ultimate forwards 'Durinho x Usman' and 'Masvidal x Nate Diaz 2' to UFC 256, in December

Amazing. Thinking about promoting one of the biggest events of the year, Ultimate is negotiating two big fights to add to the confrontation between Amanda Nunes and Megan Anderson, at UFC 256, on December 12. The organization referred the confrontation between Gilbert Durinho e Kamaru Usman for the welterweight belt (up to 77kg.) and also the rematch between Jorge masvidal e Nate diaz, with the symbolic title of 'Mais Casca-Grossa'. If the fights are confirmed, the UFC will be close to closing the 2020 season with a bang. After several setbacks due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company managed to stay active and entertain fans with great shows.

The news fits like a glove for Durinho, who will finally have the chance to face Usman for the category belt. Current number one in the rankings, the Brazilian was confirmed as Usman's opponent in the UFC 251. The Niteroi native, however, ended up leaving the card after testing positive for Covid-19 and was replaced by Jorge masvidal, who was beaten, on points, by the champion.

Now recovered, Gilbert will be able to show that he has what it takes to end Usman's reign and confirm the great phase of his career, as he hasn't lost since his welterweight debut in August last year. The Brazilian is on a streak of six positive results in a row. The last against the former category champion, Tyron woodley, which was beaten by Durinho in dominant fashion in May this year.

Diaz x Masvidal 2

Thinking about promoting the show even more, Dana White and his team intend to present Ultimate fans with another super fight. The organization is studying a rematch between Jorge masvidal e Nate diaz in a confrontation for the symbolic title of 'Most Thick in MMA'.

The athletes faced each other for the first time in the main event of the UFC 244, in November last year. In the confrontation marked by frank striking, Masvidal was superior and defeated Diaz by technical knockout (medical interruption) in the third round. Since then, the athletes have been rehearsing a repeat of the clash and, it seems, it will happen.

While Jorge is coming off a defeat to Usman, Nate hasn't performed since his defeat to 'Jesus das Ruas'.
