“I was trying to fight again, but it was difficult. The UFC offered me this fight at the last minute and I accepted. It's part of it. I haven't fought in a while, so it's good to be back. Right now, I want to compete. One step at a time. I have to win this fight and show my skills to the fans. Everyone at Sanford MMA has done a great job with me and I’m excited,” said Lawler.
Lawler, who is one of the fans' favorite fighters due to his visceral style, hinted that against Magny it will be no different.
“I always fight forward, creating a war and making the opponent enter it. That's what MMA is about. Obviously, fighters are technical and I try to use technique, but when the time comes, I cause some damage”, he concluded.
