After a successful stint in the UFC, Fabricio Werdum remains on the rise in MMA. Wanted by Bellator and ONE FC, the 43-year-old Brazilian has two great opportunities in his hands to continue his career. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the fighter said that he is torn between the chance to face Fedor Emelianenko or seek a new belt in the Asian organization.

“I'm waiting another week. I love Scott Coker (president of Bellator), he's a great friend of mine. He invited me to dinner. He's a nice guy. I also love Bellator, but I'm torn. Maybe ONE FC or Bellator. Superfight against Fedor or go to Brandon Vera”, said the Brazilian.
With his usual good humor, Werdum took the opportunity to joke about his relationship with Vera, who has held the ONE belt since 2015, but has not defended the title of champion for over three years. Fabrício and Brandon faced each other in 2008, when they were still playing for the UFC. On that occasion, the gaucho emerged victorious with a knockout in the first round.
“Brandon Vera is 'my son.' Remember, I defeated him in the past. Certainly, he is afraid. When I go to ONE FC, I'll take his belt. Maybe we won't even have a fight. He just gives me the belt. Please, just give me the belt, Brandon Vera”, joked 'Vai Cavalo'.
Werdum ended his time in Ultimate in July this year, when he had the last fight of his contract. Former UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), Fabrício left the company with a great result, when he submitted Alexander Gustafson in less than three minutes, the Swede's debut in the category.
