Cro Cop doesn't fight in Dream 5

Mirko Cro Cop is out of Dream 5, which takes place on July 21st, in Japan. The Croatian suffers from an elbow injury and will take advantage of the break to have surgery on the knee that has been bothering him for some time.

Mirko would face Jerome LeBanner, and then Mighty Mo, but as both fighters canceled the fight, Filipovic decided to undergo surgery.

On his official blog, the fighter wrote that he hopes to be back at Dream 6, which takes place on September 23rd. “I have been having problems with my right elbow for years, and this injury has gotten even worse over the last six months,” Filipovic wrote. “I have already received adequate treatment, but recovery will not happen overnight,” he added.

PUBLICITY:

“The second problem is a knee injury, something that has caused me complications for a long time. I had trouble kicking, so I've been using more punches and grabs for a few weeks now,” he added.
