It took a while, but it arrived. After having the date of the confrontation against Frankie Edgar changed four times, Peter Munhoz is one day away from facing the Ultimate legend. One of the protagonists of UFC Las Vegas 7, which takes place this Saturday (22), in the United States, the Brazilian is excited about the challenge and promises a hectic fight in the confrontation that could consolidate one of the bantamweights (up to 61,2 kg.) as a challenger for the belt.

“My fighting style is aggressive, similar to his (Frankie Edgar). I don't know what will happen, but I know that with him providing an (aggressive) fight and me here on the other hand providing the fight as well, we will have a very exciting fight. Better than one guy avoiding the fight, trying to score more and just the other guy looking for the fight, like my last one (against aljamain sterling), it gets a little boring,” the Brazilian told 'Combate'.

Current number five in the category ranking led by Petr yan, Munhoz welcomes the chance to exchange forces against a former UFC champion. Despite making his debut in the bantamweight division, Edgar, who has already held the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg), brings, in addition to his talent, a big name that takes the spotlight to the octagon. In this way, Pedro understands that a great performance against the North American could qualify him to fight for the belt in the near future.

“I believe so (it’s close to the belt). He (Edgar) is a former champion, a living legend of the sport coming from the top category. My last fight was very even, with the guy who will possibly fight for the belt. I believe it gives me greater visibility in the title fight. But I focus on this fight, then we start preparing to see what the next step will be”, he concluded.
