Vitor belfort will have the opportunity to regain the light heavyweight belt, tonight (22), in the main fight of UFC 152. To do so, the Brazilian will have to overcome the beast Jon Jones, considered one of the greatest fighters today. But to face one of the biggest challenges of his career, the Brazilian had a lot of help in his preparation.
the american Rashad evans, Jones' former training partner and current opponent of the champion, helped Belfort in the preparation and tells how the Brazilian can defeat the current champion.
Rashad, who left Greg Jackson's team (Jones' coach) to have the opportunity to fight for the division's belt, had his chance at 145, in April, when he was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. Now, after studying Jones' game once again and training Vitor for the confrontation, he says what Vitor's path will be in his search for the belt.
“I hit him with some good shots and had good opportunities in the fight, but I wasn't able to maintain my level throughout the fight. I have been working on this within myself to make sure it never happens again. And we (at Blackzilians, the team where he trains with Belfort) trained Vitor enough for him to be able to fight where I wasn't able to,” Evans told the North American channel Spike TV
