It's finally official! Ultimate confirmed in the early hours of this Sunday (16) the date for the long-awaited duel between Israel adesanya x Paulo borrachinha, for the middleweight belt (up to 83.9 kg.). The fight will be the main attraction of the UFC 253, scheduled for September 23rd. The location of the show has not yet been defined, but it is between Las Vegas (USA) and Fight Island, in Abu Dhabi.

Initially, the UFC 253 It was scheduled to take place on September 19th, but Ultimate preferred to postpone the most important attraction of the month by a week. On the 19th, the franchise should promote an event from the 'Fight Night' series, with the fight between Colby Covintgon x Tyron woodley as the main attraction.

In the meeting of the undefeated, both Paulo and Adesanya have already publicly stated that they do not like each other. With provocations from both sides, MMA fans will be able to watch the confrontation between two high-level athletes in a title fight.
The fight against the Brazilian will be the champion's second appearance in 2020. In March, Adesanya made his first title defense when he defeated Yoel romero in the judges' decision in a fight criticized for its lack of combativeness.
