After making history and defeating Daniel Cormier for the second time in the fight for the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg), Stipe Miocic It's just praise for the rival. After finishing the trilogy against DC this Saturday (15), in the main fight of UFC 252, in Las Vegas (USA), the champion praised his opponent's career and wished his opponent luck after confirming Daniel's retirement.

“I have a lot of respect for the guy (Cormier). He is an incredible fighter. I wish him all the best. He is a great asset to the sport, a great commentator”, said Miocic in a press conference after this weekend’s show.

After retaining the title against one of the best athletes in recent MMA history, Stipe, however, avoids talking about when he will return to the Octagon. Thinking about resting, the champion doesn't know if he will defend his title this year.

“I just want to go home, recover and then analyze what the best plan is,” he concluded.
