After UFC 252, Dana White returns to talk about Jon Jones in the heavyweight division

President of Ultimate guarantees Francis Ngannou as the next challenger for Stipe Miocic's belt, but welcomes Jones' move to heavyweight

The victory of Stipe Miocic about Daniel Cormier No. UFC 252, held this Saturday (15), in Las Vegas (USA) expanded the horizons for the category. Although he assured that Francis Ngannou will be the next challenger for the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg.), the president of the organization, Dana White, welcomes the possibility of Jon Jones move to the division soon.

“Francis is definitely next. You can't skip it. He's destroying everyone and, if you look at how long ago he earned the right to fight for the belt, he did his job, but Jon Jones Moving up to heavyweight is very interesting”, said the president at a press conference after this weekend’s show.

During the trilogy between Miocic and Cormier, the current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) confirmed that he will, in fact, test himself in the category dominated by Stipe. The fighter used his 'Twitter' account to express the plan.

“Heavyweight belt, I’ll see you very soon”, wrote the American.

'Bones' hasn't played since February this year, when he defeated Dominick reyes in yet another title defense in a controversial result. Since then, Jones has remained away from the Octagon and even waged a public 'war' with the UFC, demonstrating dissatisfaction with the amounts paid for his fights.
