The Brazilian Wellington Turman suffered his second defeat in Ultimate this Saturday (08) at UFC Las Vegas 6. Acting on the preliminary card, the only representative of the country in the attraction was severely knocked out by the North American Andrew Sanchez in the second round.
With the result, Turman, who was fighting in his third UFC fight, suffered his fourth defeat as a professional – he has 16 victories. On the other hand, Sanchez managed to recover from the setback in his last performance – to Marvin vettori in October 2019 – and has 12 wins and two losses.
The fight
Considered one of the greatest Brazilian prospects in the middleweight division, Turman started the fight by taking the initiative on the feet. But Sanchez quickly closed down and had the advantage in the clinch. The man from Paraná managed to get out of the grip and tried to make up the difference with hand strikes. However, in the counterattack, Andrew Sanchez he combined the jab and the straight, which went clean against Welligton. The Brazilian was already knocked out, but still received two more punches from his rival.
