The confrontation against Joanne marked the most important commitment of Maia's career to date. Former Invicta FC champion, the Brazilian needed a victory to establish herself in the top 5 and be able to get closer than ever to the opportunity to face the flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg.), Valentina Shevchenko.
In the interview after the duel, Jennifer made a point of showing her respect to the current owner of the belt, but asked for the chance to face the Kyrgyzstani. With the positive result, the Paraná native should surpass the Scottish player in the ranking and take third place in the group.
