The UFC Rio 3 card lost its biggest star when José Aldo was removed from the event on Tuesday afternoon. The Brazilian, who would defend the featherweight belt against Frankie Edgar, former lightweight champion, suffered a foot injury and was out of action. However, candidates for the main attraction of the show have already appeared.
Former WEC champion, Urijah faber, has already offered to face Edgar in Rio, possibly in an interim title fight, and even mentioned his teammate Chad Mendes as another possible replacement.
