One of the Brazilian representatives for the UFC Las Vegas 5, which takes place this Saturday (1), in the United States, Markus Maluko has a new opponent for this weekend. According to information from 'MMA Junkie', middleweight (up to 83,9kg) Eric Spicely had problems with the weight cut and was removed from the card and will be replaced by Charlie Ontiveros in a fight at catchweight (up to 88,4kg).

This was the second casualty of the event in less than 24 hours. In addition to Spicely, Timur Valiev was also removed from the event and will be replaced by Vicent Cachero in the fight against Jamall Emmers.
This is the fourth consecutive time that Spicely has been forced to leave a confrontation since his last performance in June last year. The North American was cut from an injury due to a match against Brendan allen, which would take place in October; in March, the athlete would face Punahele Soriano, but this time the opponent was cut and replaced by Roman Kopylov. The clash, however, was canceled at the time due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Chosen at the last minute to replace Eric, Ontiveros will make his Ultimate debut. The North American is 29 years old and will make his 18th appearance as a professional in MMA. The fighter has 11 triumphs and six setbacks in his career.
In the confrontation against Charlie, Markus would try to recover from the defeat suffered by Wellington Turman in November last year, at UFC Sao Paulo. The middleweight seeks regularity in the organization after two wins and three losses in five appearances in the UFC.
