José Aldo says he dreams of fighting at Maracanã

The manauara José Aldo will put the featherweight belt on the line on October 13th, at UFC Rio 3, against the North American Frankie Edgar. The duel will be held at the HSBC Arena, where the Brazilian last fought in January and defended his reign against Chad Mendes. However, the champion's dream is to fight in another location in Rio de Janeiro.

Passionate about football, Aldo revealed that his biggest career dream is to fight at Maracanã, the traditional stadium in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, which will host the 2014 World Cup final.

"The future belongs to God. Firstly, I'm focused on defending my belt, but if I had that possibility it would be a dream come true of mine”, Aldo told the Lancepress agency.

Despite the UFC's interest in holding an event in a football stadium, the Brazilian's dream will only be possible from 2014, when Maracanã, which is under renovation, will be reopened.
