Deiveson is already aiming for a second title against Aldo's tormentor: 'I want the other belt'

The sky is the limit for Deiveson Figueiredo. After a historic performance against Joseph Benavidez, this Saturday (18), at UFC Fight Island 2, in Abu Dhabi, when he won the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg), the man from Pará was not satisfied. In the press conference held after the show, the 'God of War' asked Ultimate for a super fight and reinforced his desire to win a second title with the organization.

“If they put on a super fight, or give me a fight at 61kg. (roosters), I accept. I want to get the top belt now. I'm here to defend my belt and I want to be dominant in both categories”, said the Brazilian.

Thinking not only about a new title fight, Figueiredo did not hide his desire to test himself against an Ultimate legend, who no longer wears the organization's gloves. When asked, the man from Pará confirmed his desire to face the former champion, Demetrious Johnson, who currently plays for ONE FC.

“It would definitely be a fight that the public would like to see. If the UFC decided to bring him back, I would definitely welcome him. I'm a guy who would train to knock him out and would have good taste in doing so”, said the 'God of War'.

Still thinking about a superfight, Figueiredo also made a point of challenging another big name in the UFC, who recently retired. This time the call was for Henry Cejudo.

“I wanted to rescue Cejudo. He retired. I think there's one guy left to face, and that's me. He's already beaten some big names, but he still has this fight to do with me. If he agrees to do this fight at 61kg. with me, I go up to fight him”, he concluded.
