The wait is nearing the end. Ultimate is close to making official the long-awaited clash between Israel adesanya e Paulo borrachinha for a card on September 19th at UFC 253. After almost a year of waiting, the Brazilian will finally have his chance to fight for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) in a location that has not yet been defined. The information was released by 'Combate'.

In the meeting of the undefeated, both Paulo and Adesanya have already publicly stated that they do not like each other. With provocations from both sides, MMA fans will be able to watch the confrontation between two high-level athletes in a title fight.
If the confrontation is confirmed, this will be the champion's second appearance in 2020. In March, Israel made its first title defense when it defeated Yoel romero in the judges' decision in a fight criticized for its lack of combativeness.
Borrachinha hasn't stepped into the octagon since August last year, when he beat the same Romero in a true war at UFC 241. After his triumph over the Cuban, the Brazilian was the favorite to face the champion, but he ended up getting injured and ended up having his dream postponed.
Currently, Paulo has 13 fights and no defeats in his career as a professional in mixed martial arts. Adesanya also maintains an impeccable record, with 19 positive results and without knowing the taste of a setback in the sport.
