For the first time in its history, the UFC was forced to cancel its entire fight program due to an injury to Dan Henderson, which was unable to face Jon Jones, on September 1st, in the fight for the organization’s light heavyweight belt. However, for a very short time, the edition was not saved by Anderson Silva.

The Brazilian, amid rumors of Hendo's injury, offered to face any light heavyweight in the organization, except Jon Jones, to save the show edit. However, minutes before the edition was canceled. The information was released by the North American website MMA Fighting, adding that Dana White, president of the franchise, was surprised by the offer.

In the message, Anderson would have made it clear that he was not properly trained, but that he would do so to help the UFC. Unfortunately for the franchise, the edition had been canceled moments before.

Anderson Silva would have offered to save UFC 151, as long as he didn't have to face JJ and this was after the UFC had been cancelled!
This is turning into a joke, you don't want to fight JJ because the guy is dangerous and can get hit, neither can Weidman, the guy has a lot of gas and great technique and can get hit, so it's better to fight Georges St. Pierre is a short guy who comes from two injuries and two years without fighting.
Is this the fight that Anderson Silva could win?
AS better try to model themselves on guys like Vitor Belfort and Júnior Cigano, because they deserve the word champion because they don't choose opponents!
What a shame, in your place I would have already sent the belt via postal mail to Weidman!

Silva doesn't live up to the title of champion because he says he has the status to choose opponents and say no to threats. Making himself available after the event has been canceled is a piece of cake, it's the attitude of cowardly people and so he didn't even offer to fight Jones So why open your mouth?
Runs from Weidman, Belford, Bispping among others. Deceria Silva follows Jones' example who is not only cleaning up the category but also planning to move up a category because he needs new challenges. This is a true champion and a respectable fighter.
