Anderson Berinja tests positive for Covid-19 and is off the UFC card on 'Ilha da Luta'

Brazilian casualty for the UFC event on July 15, which takes place on 'Ilha da Luta', in Abu Dhabi. The last Tupiniquim to sign the contract for the event, Anderson Berinja tested positive for Covid-19 and is out of the fight against Jack shore. The information was released by 'MMA Fighting'.

A UFC bantamweight representative (up to 61,2kg), Berinja was isolated in a hotel in São Paulo and was undergoing tests, which would confirm whether or not he could travel to Abu Dhabi. After the results, it was confirmed that the fighter contracted the virus and is prevented from having his third UFC fight.

PUBLICITY:

In the confrontation against Shore, Anderson would seek his first victory since his debut for the organization. In total, the Brazilian has 28 appearances as a professional in MMA.

So far, the UFC has not said whether Shore, who is undefeated in his career with 12 wins, will be kept on the card or will wait for a confrontation at a future event.

PUBLICITY:

The July 15 event will mark the second card in a marathon of four shows promoted by the UFC. The show will be headlined by Calvin kattar e Dan Ige, who compete in the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg.).
