Mike Perry dismisses coaches and will only have a girlfriend in the corner this Saturday

Known for his irreverence inside and outside the Octagon, Mike Perry caused it again. With a fight scheduled for this Saturday (27), when he faces Mickey gall in the co-main event of UFC Las Vegas 4, the welterweight (up to 77kg.) stated that he will not have a main coach and will only have his girlfriend, Latory Gonzalez, in his corner for the commitment. In an interview with 'ESPN', the North American explained the decision.

“She (Gonzalez) is perfect. She has experience in boxing and wrestling. She wrestled throughout high school. She's going to do the main thing I would ask a coach to do: 'Just sit there and enjoy the show.' Because you have the best seat and I don't need her advice. I did my job, I visualized the fight in my head a thousand times and I'm going to hit this guy in the face,” said Perry.

Although he exudes confidence, Mike is not experiencing a great moment in his career. Coming from two negative results in a row, the American has six defeats in his last 10 appearances.

Perry has not performed since December last year, when he was beaten by Geoff neal by knockout, in UFC 245.
