Interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) and Khabib Nurmagoedov's next opponent, Justin gaethje is in full swing preparing to face the Russian. In a training session, however, the American ended up being surprised by a headbutt, which resulted in a deep cut on his chin. The image was shared by Chamatkar Sandhu on his Twitter account.

Currently in the position of interim champion, Justin is experiencing his best moment within the UFC. Undefeated for four fights and coming off a great victory over the dangerous Tony Ferguson in May, which won him the division's belt, the American awaits Ultimate's decision, together with Nurmagomedov, on when the fight to unify the title will take place.
Owner of the linear belt, Khabib was initially going to face Ferguson in the May clash, however, with the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), the athlete ended up being unable to travel to the United States after the closure of Russian borders.
In addition to shocking the world and beating 'Bicho Papão', who hadn't lost in 12 appearances, Gaethje has now become Nurmagomedov's main rival, who hasn't played since September last year, when he defeated Dustin poirier, in the main fight of the UFC 242.
