Amanda Nunes, who recently stated that she may retire from MMA. “I kill her. I literally just said to Sean (Shelby) and Mick (Maynard, responsible for scheduling fights in the UFC) in the last meeting: 'let's build this (featherweight) division for her and let's figure out (who's going to face her), and Is she now talking about retiring?”, said the president in an interview with 'The Schmozone Podcast'.

After defeating the talented Felicia spencer, in her first defense of the featherweight title, and confirmed herself as the first woman to defend two belts in different categories, the situation of the 'Lionea' became complicated in the organization. The athlete, in recent years, has defeated the best names in both divisions and, now, the company will need a great plan to find an opponent worthy of its greatest champion.

“You know what’s amazing about this when you think about it? Her retiring isn't amazing, it drives me crazy actually. You know how I always say, 'If you're talking about retiring, then you probably should,' unless you're where she is. At this moment when I have guys crying for money, one of our fighters, who could continue doing this for a long time, is saying, 'Maybe I'll retire now.' She has a lot of money, and she can do this”, concluded White.

After presenting at the UFC 250, Amanda didn't take long to say that she intended to take the rest of the year on vacation. The Bahian woman is preparing for the birth of her first daughter and wants to dedicate herself completely to her family during this period.
