Dana White goes back and considers Ronda Rousey in the UFC

UFC President stated that former judoka could be the first woman in the organization

UFC president Dana White stated in several interviews that he was against women's MMA. The main reason, according to him, was the lack of women competing at a high level, but the director, it seems, seems to have changed his mind.

In an interview with the Showtime channel, the director stated that the former judoka, Ronda Rousey, could be the first woman to fight in the Ultimate Octagon.

“In the next ten years, if there are any women in the octagon, they will probably be Ronda Rousey,” said White, who praised other female MMA athletes.

PUBLICITY:

“There are great fighters before Ronda Rousey. Gina Carano is beautiful. Chris Cyborg She’s unbelievably talented, she has a lot of touch,” said White, who pointed to the duel between Ronda and Tate, held in March, as the “watershed” for women’s MMA. “What made me change and I think changed a lot of people about women's MMA was Tate x Rousey. That was a fight like it was between men: two incredibly talented women who are very well surrounded, and it doesn't hurt anyone when they're beautiful too,” added White.
