Demente suffers injury and does not fight at BRFC 3

Jiu-jitsu world champion Ricardo Abreu, known as Demente, suffered an injury to his right foot and will not be able to defend his belt in the third edition of the Brazilian Fighting Championship (BRFC), which takes place next Saturday, August 11th, in Ribeirão Preto (SP).

“It was during training. I threw a strong kick that hit my sparring partner's elbow and formed a huge bruise. I'm very upset about this, but I know it happens, something fatal. I would like to thank those who are supporting me and apologize for not being able to fight”, said the fighter, who should return to training in a month.

Another athlete who will not be able to play in BRFC 3 will be Cesar Marcussi, who also has a brief stint in the UFC. A strain on his left thigh also took him out of combat. “We know that the risk of injury always exists. I'm very sad, because it would be my debut in BRFC, this great circuit to which I intend to return soon”, said the athlete
