Klidson entered the Octagon with the obligation to win to erase his recent record within the UFC. With three fights and just one victory, the Brazilian had the role of taking Hill's unbeaten record and making peace with the triumph. The duel, however, ended up not being positive for the Amazonian, who was unable to set his pace and was the victim of Jamahal's aggression.

The fight

The fight began with Jamahal taking the initiative with a straight shot to the Brazilian's face. More aggressive, the North American managed to knock Klidson down with another punch, but the native of Brazil managed to get up. Hill continued connecting good jabs, which landed cleanly on Abreu's face. The Brazilian continued to have difficulties in the distance encounter and, after an attempted takedown, he ended up suffering a blow that knocked him down again. Flyweight Brando Royval made his UFC debut on the right foot. In his first commitment, the North American had the challenge of exchanging forces against the dangerous Tim Elliott. After two very competitive rounds, Brandon ended up surprising his opponent and finishing with a katagatame at 3m18s of the second round.

Despite imposing difficulties on Royval, Elliot ended up confirming the bad phase of his career. The athlete climbed into the octagon to try to end a sequence of two consecutive setbacks. The new negative result, then, puts Tim in a delicate situation in his career.

Royval last performed in November last year, when he beat Nate Williams playing for LFA (Legacy Fighting Alliance). After the triumph, the North American should already be in the top 15 of the division, as he defeated the current number 11.

Sister of the champion of flies, Valentina Shevchenko, Antonina lost the chance to reach the top five of the division in the confrontation against Katlyn chookagian. Unable to set her own pace, the Kyrgyzstani ended up being easy prey for the North American's takedowns, who emerged victorious in the judges' unanimous decision.

Chookagian entered the octagon to erase her last fight, when she was beaten by Valentina in the division's title fight, in February this year. For three rounds, Katlyn was superior and gave Antonina no chance to put her strategy into practice.

With the triumph, the American remains in second place among the flies, while Shevchenko will wait for her next appointment to resume her path towards the top of the category.
