The Brazilian Edson Barboza is not at peace with Ultimate. After a controversial defeat in his debut for the organization's featherweight division (up to 65,7kg), the Brazilian took a shot at the company after being removed from the lightweight rankings (up to 70,3kg), for which he played. On his Twitter account, the Friborg native criticized the professionals responsible for establishing the classification of fighters in their divisions.

“Do you know who makes the UFC rankings? I'm sure they're not experts. They don't listen to the fans or the public. I didn't care about it, but now I'm sure the ranking is a joke”, wrote the Brazilian.
Do you guys know who makes the @ufc ranking? I'm sure it's not the specialists. They don't listen to the fans or public. I didn't care about it, but now I'm sure this ranking is just a joke.

Barboza's fury took on greater proportions after realizing that his last opponent, Dan Ige, moved up four positions in the featherweight group, even having emerged victorious over the Friburguense in a confrontation in which even the president of the organization, Dana White, gave the result, in his analysis, to the Tupiniquim.
“They took me out of the lightweight rankings. Ige moved up four positions and I'm not even ranked among the featherweights. Even more so after a fight in which everyone realized I won. It doesn’t make any sense, UFC and Dana White”, concluded Barboza.
They took me off from the lightweight division ranking. Ige stepped up 4 positions and I am not even in the ranking in the featherweight division, in a fight that the whole word knows that I won. It doesn't make any sense. @ufc @danawhite

Edson's defeat marked the athlete's second defeat, in a row, due to a controversial decision by the judges. Before facing Dan, the Brazilian had been beaten by Paul felder, in September last year, at UFC 242. The facts increased the crisis in the recent retrospect of the Friborg native, who now has one victory in his last six clashes.
How does UFC ranking work?
The UFC ranking is created based on the analysis of journalists chosen by the organization itself. After each commitment made, professionals change positions according to personal considerations.
