This Wednesday (13), Glover Teixeira took a big step towards a future fight for the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) belt. After running over Anthony Smith in the main fight of UFC Smith x Teixeira, the Brazilian, who returned to the top 5 in the category, prefers not to choose his opponent for the next clash. In a press conference after the show, with the participation of SUPER FIGHTS, the miner spoke about the subject.

“Anyone (opponent), man. Anyone at the top of the division, I’ll love it”, said the Brazilian.
Asked if he would be willing to repeat last year's feat, when the Brazilian entered the Octagon on three occasions, the fighter stated that the situation could happen again. Glover, however, said he intends to rest before making any decisions.
“It’s a little difficult (to have three fights) with this pandemic and everything. We'll see how it goes, but I'm going to check my hand, because it's really swollen. I do not know what happened. I hope it's nothing serious. Of course. Maybe three fights? I'm going to take some time off now and get involved in training”, concluded the Minas Gerais native.
The victory over Smith confirmed Teixeira's good form within Ultimate. With the new positive result, the 40-year-old Brazilian now has four wins in a row.
