I couldn't even get tired. In the long-awaited confrontation between Francis Ngannou e Jairzinho Rozenstruik, which took place this Saturday (9), at UFC 249, in Jacksonville (USA), the French-Cameroonian showed why he is one of the most feared athletes in Ultimate. The fighter needed just 20 seconds to knock out his rival and show that he deserves a chance to fight again for the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg).

The fight between Ngannou and Rozenstruik generated a lot of expectation among sports fans, as it was a meeting between two athletes known for their high knockout power. For the confrontation, Francis took to the octagon to confirm his good form and try for his fourth consecutive victory. As promised, the athlete scored another knockout and remains the favorite to fight for the title after the trilogy between Stipe Miocic e Daniel Cormier.
Jairzinho's setback marked the first defeat in the athlete's career. The fighter was undefeated in 10 appearances as a professional in MMA.
The fight
The confrontation between the athletes began with the fighters exchanging punches in the center of the Octagon. After a good sequence of blows, Francis managed to connect with a good left cross, which exploded on the Surinamese's chin, leading him to a knockout.

Who expected a knockout in the fight between Greg hardy e yorgan de castro, was disappointed. In the confrontation that marked the first fight on the main card, the heavyweights ended up respecting each other more than imagined and, after three rounds, Hardy ended up declared the winner with a unanimous decision by the judges.
In the first round, the athletes accepted the frank exchange, however, in the following rounds the rhythm of both fell and the confrontation ended up monotonous for most of the time.
Hardy entered the octagon to erase the defeat suffered in his last appearance. The athlete, who emerged in Ultimate as a promise for the category, now hopes to resume his path towards the top of the division.
Yorgan's negative result marked the first setback in the Cape Verdean fighter's career. Castro was undefeated in six appearances as a professional in MMA.

The North Americans Calvin kattar e Jeremy Stephens they promoted a real show of violence in the second fight on the main card. With great aggression, the featherweights (up to 65,7kg) put on a frank striking fight that resulted in a brutal knockout by Kattar over his compatriot in the second round.
Calvin, who was coming off a defeat to Zabit Magomedsharipov in a fight that took place in November last year, he needed to win to resume his trajectory towards the top of the category. The athlete then showed all his technique and overtook number seven in the ranking. The positive result marked Kattar's 21st victory in 25 matches played.
The setback for Calvin left Jeremy in a delicate situation within the organization. The athlete has not won a match since February 2018, when he crashed Josh Emmett. Stephens now has three defeats and one unsuccessful fight in his recent record.
