The MMA star, Conor McGregor, has not yet decided on fighting during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. According to the Irishman's manager, Audie Attar, the athlete will be keeping an eye on UFC 249, which takes place this Saturday (9) and the event will serve as a basis for ensuring safety conditions.

“Conor is very curious to see if both the health and safety of the athletes are guaranteed. He wants to make sure everyone is taken care of,” said Attar in an interview with 'ESPN'.
Since the health crisis became a cause for worldwide concern, McGregor has been one of the most representative UFC athletes when it comes to raising public awareness about the dangers of the disease. The fighter, then, would need to be sure that a possible performance does not put his integrity and, consequently, that of other professionals involved at risk.
Attar also highlighted a determining factor for his client's presence on an Ultimate card. According to the 'Notório' representative, Conor prefers to perform in front of a crowd of fans. The businessman, however, understands that an empty gym can be good from the point of view of people who are in quarantine.
“While Conor’s desire is to fight in front of a packed gym, he understands what fighting without an audience could mean for people at home and would consider acting if he is comfortable with the way the UFC is hosting these events from a health perspective. and security”, he concluded.
McGregor returned to professional MMA in January, after spending more than a year away from the sport. On his return, the Irishman once again put on a show when he knocked out Donald Cerrone in less than a minute, in the main fight of the UFC 246.
