Brazilian Vinny Pezão is back in the UFC. The Tupiniquim light heavyweight, who was a finalist in the ninth edition of TUF, the UFC's reality show, already has a date and opponent set for his debut.
Pezão faces Croatian Igor Pokrajac at UFC 152, an event scheduled to take place on September 22, in Toronto, Canada.
Vinny, who has an MMA record of nine wins and five losses, abandoned the belt at the Russian M-1 Global event after disagreements with the organization's directors and was waiting for the end of his contract to settle with the UFC. The Brazilian is on a good run of five consecutive victories, the last being over Mikhail Zayats, in November 2011.
In turn, Pokrajac, who has a professional record of 25 wins and eight losses, is also experiencing a good moment in his career. The Croatian has won three consecutive victories, the last being over Fábio Maldonado at UFC on FUEL TV 3, held in May.
