One of the protagonists of UFC 249, which takes place this Saturday (9), in Jacksonville (USA), Tony Ferguson recorded the moment he was tested for Covid-19. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, safety is Ultimate's main concern to maintain the physical integrity of athletes in the face of one of the biggest health crises in history.

“Testing for Covid-19. Essential for the game. Good times”, wrote 'Bicho Papão' on his Instagram account.
Faced with a worrying scenario that affects most countries around the world, the UFC decided to be bold and resume its activities. The action, however, is handled, according to the company's management, with a high degree of responsibility so that, in addition to ensuring entertainment, the health of the athletes and staff involved in the show is preserved.
To comply with preventive measures, Ultimate set up a real task force with the intention of promoting a favorable and peaceful scenario for the people who will participate, directly or indirectly, in the event. The idea is that those involved can continue their daily lives as normally as possible.
This weekend, Ferguson will compete, for the second time, for the interim lightweight belt (under 70,3kg). With the linear champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, out, what remained was Justin gaethje the commitment to face the dangerous 'El Cucuy' in the main fight of the event.
