This Saturday, Cejudo will put on his bantamweight belt for the first time. The athlete has been sporting the belt since he crashed Marlon moraes in the main fight of UFC 238, in June last year. At the time, the athletes were competing for the title that was abdicated by TJ Dillashaw after the former champion was caught taking a doping test at the beginning of 2019.

Initially, Henry's commitment would be against José Aldo, on the card that would take place in São Paulo and would mark the main fight of the UFC 250. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the show ended up leaving the capital of São Paulo and being transferred to the United States. As his North American work visa had expired and was unable to regularize the document (due to the global health crisis), the man from Manaus ended up being forced to leave the show.

With Aldo gone, the only thing left to do was Dominick Cruz the duty to face the 'Triple C'. Without fighting since December 2016, but with a successful history in the sport, the former division champion accepted the challenge and will be responsible for trying to end the reign of the current number one.
