The Potiguar Jussier formiga is the newest Brazilian representative in the UFC. The fighter signed a contract with the largest MMA organization in the world and will be the second Brazilian athlete in the flyweight division. Formiga joins John Lineker in the 57 kg division. of Ultimate. The information was confirmed by Dedé Pederneiras, Jussier's coach, in an interview with the “Oss” program.
“I am very happy with this signing. I've always dreamed of this, ever since they created the category. It's time. I'll try to do a good job and face it. I've always had good fights here in Brazil and I want to show why I'm the South American Shooto champion”, said the fighter.
Jussier formiga, 27 years old, has an MMA record of 13 wins and just one loss in his career – to the American Ian McCall. The Brazilian athlete is on a good run of five consecutive victories.
