UFC reschedules Glover Teixeira vs. Anthony Smith as main attraction for Fight Night on May 13

Not even the more than 53 deaths from COVID-19 in the US seem to intimidate the UFC. The organization that announced the activities resume on the 9th, in Florida, has already scheduled two more events in the sequence. Ultimate has reserved the dates of May 13th and 16th, in Jacksonville (USA), for two events in the Fight Night series. The information is from the MMA Junkie website.

At the show on May 13th, a Wednesday, the Brazilian Glover Teixeira, eighth in the light heavyweight rankings (up to 93.1kg.) faces the North American Anthony Smith, third in the ranking in the main attraction.

In the attraction scheduled for May 16th, the main attraction will be the fight between heavyweights alistair overeem x Walt Harris, eighth and ninth in the division rankings, respectively.

Fights were scheduled for April

The fights between Glover x Smith and Overeem x Harris were supposed to take place in April, but were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fight between Overeem and Harris would take place on April 11, in the main fight of UFC Portland. The Brazilian's duel against the North American would be the most important fight at UFC Lincoln on April 25th.
