Champion in two Bellator divisions (featherweight and lightweight), Patricio pitbull did not shy away and attacked the UFC for trying to resume its shows even at a time of global health crisis. The Brazilian criticized the organization, stating that the company does not care about its athletes, giving greater importance to the profits made by their shows.
“My impression is that the fighters come last, right? Enforcing contracts comes first, making money and to hell with the rest. Bring entertainment to those at home and who cares about the fighters if they contract the virus or die. It seems inhumane,” said Patricio in an interview with 'MMA Fighting'.
The athlete then took the opportunity to praise the organization he works for: Bellator. According to Pitbull, the company's management has been working responsibly and respecting its athletes. For the Brazilian, this would be the attitude he would take if he presided over a company of this size.
“I would do what Bellator is doing. Wait for the market to react and, when the government opens everything, you can bring fighters from another continent. If this possibility is real, then let's hold an event. There's no debate. The UFC is just making noise for the media, creating chaos and making money”, he said.
Considered one of the main names in Bellator, Patricio debuted in the organization in April 2010. Since then, there have been 22 appearances, with 18 wins and four losses.
