Former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.), Conor McGregor couldn't contain himself and took advantage of the news that Tony Ferguson made weight for UFC 249 – even with the event canceled – to provoke the North American. In response to the 'Bogeyman's' attitude, the Irishman suggested a meeting between the two in the future.

Conor's text, however, does not make it clear what he would actually like to say to Ferguson, but, taking his final words into consideration, it can be inferred that the 'Notorious' intends to challenge 'El Cucuy' soon.
To the letter, McGregor says he will hit Ferguson's nucleus pulposus, a kind of 'shock absorber' for the spine.
The fight between Tony and Conor is not just a utopia for fans. Well ranked among the lightweights, it is not impossible that the athletes will face each other at some point in the coming years.
Ferguson, however, now worries about the title fight. The fighter should face Khabib Nurmagomedov this Saturday (18), but, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the fight ended up cancelled.
Currently, the champion is prevented from traveling internationally due to the closure of Russia's borders as a preventive measure against the spread of the coronavirus. With the departure of 'Águia' from the card, it was up to Ultimate to climb Justin gaethje for the role of facing the 'Bogeyman'.
The pandemic also postponed the fight between the North Americans, however, there is speculation that the two will face each other for the interim belt on May 9, in an undefined location.
