Even with the confirmation of thousands of deaths, the cancellation of sporting events, and the recommendation of social isolation, there are still those who question the veracity of the existence of the coronavirus. Trying to raise public awareness, Michael Bisping criticized that he believes the disease was invented as part of a conspiracy. In an interview with 'Submission Radio', the former fighter spoke about the subject.

“There are many idiots who believe they know better. Many people are insecure and think that everyone is against them in a big worldwide conspiracy. It's not a conspiracy. There is a disease, an extremely contagious virus that emerged in China and spread throughout the world. We must remain in quarantine, as they suggested. Soon, it will pass”, said the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg).

Michael also stated that all the information necessary for greater health care at the moment should be obtained from professionals who have the ability to comment and make recommendations on the topic.

“(Either we lock ourselves away) or we can be idiots. Ignore everything that everyone has told us, what scientists are reporting. Because I know what people are saying: 'Don't believe everything you hear or say in the paper.' I am not. What I do is read and listen to health professionals, people who have dedicated their entire lives to science. I prefer to listen to them, not any nonsense on the internet”, he concluded.

According to the WHO (World Health Organization), in a bulletin updated last Thursday (16), to date, 1.991.562 cases have been confirmed worldwide, with 130.885 deaths.
