The adaptation of a private island to host Ultimate fights during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic period gained the support of one of the biggest names in the organization. Flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg.), Valentina Shevchenko supported Dana White's commitment to future events and guaranteed that he will participate in the shows at the new location.

“It’s a great idea. As soon as I heard about (the island), I thought, 'I'm definitely going to be there. I want to fight on the island, train there, live there. I want to spend my time there”, said the Kyrgyzstani in an interview with 'MMA Fighting'.
The news that the organization's president, Dana White, was adapting a location as an alternative in times of the global health crisis began as 'buzz' behind the scenes of MMA, but ended up being confirmed after Ultimate was forced to cancel the event.
