Dana White is involved in US extortion case over intimate video

Ultimate's president, Dana White, has been experiencing real personal drama in recent weeks. In addition to concerns about the cancellation of events due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 'big boss' now has to worry about a lawsuit over an alleged breach of agreement between him and Ernesto Joshua Ramos, a person who alleged having possession of images of Dana having sex with a dancer, in 2014. The information was released by the 'Las Vegas Review-Journal'.

The case began in 2014, when Joshua blackmailed White, claiming that, if he did not receive a sum of money, he would disclose the prosecutor's intimate content, thus generating worldwide embarrassment. Ernesto ended up in prison for 366 days, accused of extortion, but ended up reaching an agreement with White, who would pay him US$450 (approximately R$2,3 million) so that the case could be hushed up and the footage destroyed.

The content of the images would show White having sex with a dancer from Spearmint Rhino, from Las Vegas (USA). The recording would have been made in Brazil.

After serving his sentence, after pleading guilty in the extortion case, Ramos sued White for, according to him, not having fulfilled his part regarding the transfer of the amount agreed in court. Aware of the new chapter in the case, the Ultimate 'boss' didn't take long to speak out on the matter.

“Now I received a crazy lawsuit from a guy who already went to jail for trying to extort me. Now, he has hired a lawyer who is also a criminal. They want to take US$10 million (about R$50 million) from me. I didn't give them money then and I won't give them a penny now. I hope the court denies this lawsuit so I can get rid of these idiots as quickly as possible”, Dana said in response to the 'Las Vegas Review-Journal'.

While dealing with this problem, White also goes out of his way to try to resolve the situation of the UFC 249, which remains without a confirmed location, but remains on the company's official agenda for April 18th.
