Amid the pandemic and uncertainty about UFC 249, Jéssica Andrade arrives in the USA

Not knowing for sure where your next appointment will be, Jessica Andrade landed in Las Vegas (USA), last Wednesday (1), with part of his team, in order to finalize the preparation for the fight against Rose namajunas, which takes place on April 18, at UFC 249. With no defined location, due to the restrictions on public shows adopted by the United States government due to the coronavirus, the former strawweight champion now awaits a definition from the Ultimate board.

“We’re here, boss,” published 'Bate-Estaca' on his Instagram account, tagging the organization's president, Dana White.

Responsible for promoting fights in the company, Dana has been experiencing difficult days since the world stopped to worry about the pandemic that has been causing thousands of deaths around the globe. Even canceling three cards, the president remains optimistic about maintaining the April 18th event. White, however, had to find a plan B to set up the show's structures, as the state of New York banned public events from being held.

Last week, the 'big boss' revealed that he already has a new destination for the card, however, he preferred to keep the information confidential.

In the midst of the quarantine period, Andrade arrives in the United States to try to recover from the defeat he suffered against Weili Zhang, in August last year, which cost him the title in the straw division (up to 52,1kg.). The fighter will face an old acquaintance.

It was against Namajuanas that, in front of the Brazilian public, the Paraná native became number one in the category and won her dream belt, in May, in Rio de Janeiro.

Rose, who had flirted with the possibility of retiring after the tough knockout suffered by Jéssica, decided to give her career a new chance and agreed to resume her path towards her old title.
