Since some countries took the stance of closing their borders, limiting the movement of people as a preventive measure against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), these attitudes have had consequences in the sporting world. In MMA, the April 18th event is compromised due to the fact that Khabib Nurmagomedov not being able to leave Russia. Thinking about that, Henry Cejudo already think of a plan b, in case your fight against José Aldo, scheduled for May 9, in Brazil, is affected.

“UFC249 is in danger because we cannot take Khabib (Nurmagomedov) out of Russia. So, if we can't bring José 'Baldo' (Aldo) to America (United States), don't forget to bring his tailless tuxedo that he wears every Saturday with his balls. Because you're on the reservation, honey. Someone who will kneel before 'Triple C' on May 9th”, wrote the champion, on his Instagram account, making reference to the former champion of the division, Dominick Cruz.

So far, there is no information about changes to the card taking place in São Paulo. As well as the UFC 249 is still confirmed for April 18th, the title fight between Aldo and Cejudo is still scheduled in the capital of São Paulo.

If the event has to leave the city of São Paulo and is transferred to the United States, José Aldo may be prevented from traveling to North American territory. Therefore, the champion would need a new opponent.
