After being defeated by Amanda ribas No. UFC Brasilia, in the first event in the history of Ultimate held behind closed doors, last Saturday (14), Randa markos returned to Canada and declared her frustration at not being able to take the test to find out if she had been infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19). Through her Twitter account, the strawweight expressed her dissatisfaction with her country's healthcare system, which does not test people unless they show symptoms of the disease.

"I just arrived home. I stopped to get tested for coronavirus at a center and they didn't test me. Long flights with lots of people, I'm not feeling well and I'm not at risk? All good. I think I'm going to stay at home for two weeks”, wrote the fighter.

The Canadian also completed the criticism by stating that her trip to the health center was a preventive measure, as international travel has not been recommended in recent days, as the spread of the virus has increasingly increased in countries around the world – including in Brazil.

“I just want to be safe. Things are different since I traveled to fight. The news changes all the time,” she concluded.

Randa is not the only athlete concerned after the card held in the federal capital. The rival of Francisco Massaranduba last weekend, John makdessi, also expressed concern about possible infection after the show. In a statement released by 'The Sun', the Canadian spoke about the matter.

“I'm in quarantine right now. I need medical assistance. I can't even do that. I can't go to the UFC headquarters (in Las Vegas) because I can't travel. And, here, the hospitals will not receive me, because I am in quarantine”, he concluded.

To date, there are no records of Ultimate athletes contracting the disease that scares the world. Last Monday (16), the organization's president, Dana White, postponed the company's three next events as a preventative measure against the spread of the virus.
