Devastating. Not even in our best dreams Gilbert Durinho could imagine the outcome of his fight against Demian Maia. In a duel between Brazilians, held this Saturday (14), by UFC Brasilia, in the Federal District, the Niteroi native took no notice of his compatriot and emerged victorious with a beautiful knockout in the first round. At the end of the presentation, Durinho challenged Colby covington.

The fight
The fight began with Demian taking the initiative with a left right. The São Paulo native continued walking forward, trying to frame Durinho against the bars. Maia got the takedown, but Gilbert managed to stay on his feet. Demian attempted the takedown again, but his compatriot continued to defend himself. Maia managed to get to the back and managed to put Durinho on the ground. With an advantage, the São Paulo native tried to go to mount, but the Niteroi native managed to get up. Standing, Gilbert connected with a left bomb to the face, which caused Demian to collapse. Durinho was left to settle the bill by throwing more blows until the referee stopped the fight.
