Considered by many to be the biggest name in Bellator history, the Brazilian will make his second defense of the featherweight belt. The fighter, who also holds the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg), will try to remain at the top of the division, in which he has been champion since May of last year.

Undefeated in six MMA fights, Pedro qualified for a title shot after four convincing performances for the organization. Making his debut with the company in May 2018, the Portuguese won two fights by submission, one by knockout and the other by split decision by the judges.

Another Bellator Grad Prix fight will be represented by the meeting between Daniel weichel e Emmanuel sanchez, scheduled to be the penultimate fight of the night.

For Brazilian MMA fans, Brazil will have another representative at the event. With 18 professional fights and only one defeat in his career, Fábio Aguiar will make his debut for the organization on the main card of the show. Known for his knockout power, the Pernambuco native will face the experienced and dangerous Anatoly Tokov. The Russian is going to his 5th fight for the company.

Scheduled to open this Friday's card, Leandro Higo, whose opponent was changed at the last minute, had his fight canceled at the show. After being selected to face Dominic Mazzotta, after Johnny Campbell was injured, the new rival did not make weight, exceeding the limit by 1,6kg. The Brazilian, who fulfilled his commitment to the scale, then chose not to accept the challenge and the fight was removed from the card.
