Mutante arrived at the UFC as a big name for the company. Pupil of Vitor belfort, the São Paulo native became famous in MMA after participating and winning the first TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) Brazil, held in 2012. In the final, held on June 23, the Brazilian faced his compatriot Serginho Moraes and came out with a positive result in the unanimous decision of the judges in a very balanced dispute that was applauded by the public.

For his former company, Cezar competed in 15 fights over seven years. There were nine victories and six setbacks. In his last two appearances, the Brazilian failed to win, which took him away from the elite of the group, which today is dominated by Israel adesanya.
