In a great phase in Ultimate, Justin gaethje continues to be a major critic of the organization when it comes to the treatment given to Conor McGregor. Without acting among the lightweights (up to 70,3kg.) since the setback suffered to Khabib Nurmagomedov, in October 2018, the Irishman remains favorite to face the champion, if the Russian goes through Tony Ferguson No. UFC 249. The fact angered the North American, who stated that he may attack the 'big boss' if the title fight is confirmed in the future. The statement was made in an interview with 'ESPN'.

In his last appearances, Gaethje proved to be one of the most dangerous names in the category. With convincing and imposing victories over James Vick, Edson Barboza e Donald Cerrone, the North American reached the top of the category after confirming his good form.
Without losing since the setback to Dustin poirier, in 2018, the athlete achieved fourth place in the group's ranking and had his request to face Conor (3rd) ignored by the company. The athlete then continues without an opponent for a new fight.
Gaethje, then, opposes White when the agent suggests that the 'Notorious' could have a rematch against Khabib even though he hasn't played in the category for over a year.
"Is not fair. I will not tolerate this. I'm very lucid. I respect the boss, but if he tries, there will be war”, concluded the lightweight.
